From the outside, you may look like you are holding everything together - building a life with intention and success. Inside, though, the transitions of your 30s and 40s can feel increasingly difficult to navigate. Anxiety, OCD, ADHD, or even complex trauma may show up as overthinking, constant researching, depleted energy, worrying, perfectionism and poor sleep. Whether it is pregnancy and family planning, becoming a parent, relationship challenges or career transition, there’s a loop you just can’t break and frustration grows. You may be able to identify the patterns when they start to show up, but still, something is stuck.
I offer an integrative and holistic approach that is both evidence-based and deeply personal to help you achieve the changes you are desiring. My work draws from traditional psychotherapy methods, including I-CBT for OCD, as well as relational, creative, and somatic practices. Together, we will tailor therapy to your unique needs. To reduce symptoms, yes, but also, to go deeper into understanding what these patterns are attempting to do and protect so that you can get to know what is really needed in your mind, body and system to make long lasting impactful changes. Getting unstuck will be met with relief, excitement and readiness for your next steps.
The work that I do now is informed by my 20 years of clinical practice. I spent my early career introducing and developing creative arts therapy programs across multiple hospital divisions in New York City and beyond, while working clinically with people of many ages, identities, and life experiences. I later served as a Clinical Director at a local nonprofit, where my work centered on research, training, education, as well as providing therapy for veterans, sexual assault survivors, and LGBTQ+ clients. I have been published in academic journals, presented workshops and talks at leading hospitals and companies, and was featured as the expert art therapist in a documentary film exploring the intersection of creativity, grief, and healing. I have BA in Psychology from Brandeis University and my Master’s in Art Therapy from The School of Visual Arts. I am certified in TF-CBT and I-CBT and always informed by the work of nervous system and body-based practices.
